Welcome Great Bridge High School Class of 1981

Hi Bryan,
I graduated from great bridge in1981. I was a member of the football team and would like my kids to see our game films. Please advise.

Hi. Kevin Graham here. Class of 81. I am saddened seeing the loss of many of my friends. Where has the time gone. My thoughts go out to their families especially Mrs Mastracco. She and her family where a class act. Hope all else are well.

Hello Classmates of 1981 We had a meeting today to discuss our 30th year reunion. We came up with a couple of dates for the reunion. July 23, 2011, and/or Sept 17, 2011. We would like to book the Wyndam at 57th Street in Va. Beach. We need to have a rough count of how many people would be able to attend either/or weekend. We need to know by February 20, 2011. Prices were talked about. It really all depends on the amount of people and the date. The figure we came up with is roughly $80.00 per person. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, bar, dancing and reconnecting with old friends. We also discuss including the class of 80, and 82. The more people, the cheaper it will be for everyone. Our next meeting will be a Woodies in Great Bridge on March either 11 or 12th. As soon as I know more information I will pass it on. Please plan to meet us up there...the more the merrier. Also was mentioned, in Oct a cruise to nowhere, leaving out of Norfolk. Check back here or the Facebook site: http://www.facebook.com/l/c9995YE6nN3wmSNc50scLCjniIA for more details.

WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT WE NEED EVERYBODY TO RESPOND ASAP, you can email me or leave a response on the Facebook site!

I also need everyone to check the email list to check if your email address is correct. I sent an email to everyone on the list and almost half were returned. If you don't want your email address listed let me know but at least give me an address so I can contact you with updates.

Great Bridge High School Class of 1981
Good People of the Class of 1981. It’s time for our 30th Reunion. We need anyone and everyone who would be interested in help planning, to meet in Great Bridge on the 12th of FEB.
Location will be Pollard’s Chicken 717 Battlefield Blvd S Chesapeake, VA 23322 - FEB 12th at 1400 or 2PM for all you non-Military personnel. The meeting will not last over 1 hour - 15 minutes and 39 seconds. So please be on time. Please pass this word on to everyone you know. God Bless and we will see your there.

This is the information I have at the moment:
It seems there are two groups planning a reunion, Robin Newnam, Nicole (Kriss) Walsh, Roz (Thrasher) Hughes have started posting messages on Facebook looking at May 21, 2011 and are open to and looking for suggestions. Howard J Schmidt mentioned one being planned on Homecoming Weekend in Oct. but I don't have any information as to who is planning that one.
I have started a list of people who have contacted me here who are willing to help and would be glad to pass that along to who ever wants it.
Anyone with information can pass it to me and I will post it here to help keep everyone updated.

Well, it's getting to be about time for out 30th Reunion. We need anyone and everyone who would interested in planning, helping and attending to spread the word to every one you can. You can also contact me, another great place to look seems to be Facebook, there are a lot of our classmates there. I went to the the Class of 80's (and friends) gathering on Friday and they had a really good turn out. So, are we going to let them beat our class spirit?
Lets get the ball rolling...

My name is Doni Masters Riley (went by Donna in school) I would love to hear from any classmates of mine from classes of '79 thru '81. A few in particular are Leslie Foutz Waller Williams (class of '79 and Annette Walsh Mills (class of '81) and Linda Lovelace (class of "80 I think). My email is countrygirlforever1961@yahoo.com or medic4life4you@yahoo.com. I have a Myspace site at www.myspace.com/Medic4Life if you'd like to join my friends list.

I was looking at you class of 81 page It looks good. I was in the class but moved away just before 9th grade. My father was in the navy. I live in upstate New York. Seeing the names brings me back. I miss the south I am bringing my son down to Virginia next week for vacation and to show him where I grew up. Just thought I would drop a note.
Fred Whitmarsh Jr.

Ok, we need the help from everybody. We would like to know how many would be interested in a 25 year reunion and if so any ideas of what and where.
My last email with Huntley she said "I called several people and got the well I'd be interested in coming but not planning; got frustrated and then busy. I talked to Mrs. Bernard and she said to wait till 30 yr; people tend to be more interested. I've also talked to a couple people in classes before and after us. What would you think if we did a 2 or 3 year combo reunion?"
You can email me your comments or ideas. Thanks
